The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport is the entry-level trim of Jeeps only pickup truck, blending classic Wrangler styling with real truck capability. Built for adventure yet practical enough for daily use, it offers a rugged, no-frills approach to off-roading and utility. Under the hood, the Gladiator Sport comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, with an 8-speed automatic. Standard part-time four-wheel drive gives it strong off-road capability right out of the box.
Designed as a mid-size crew cab pickup, it seats up to five passengers and features a 5-foot truck bed, making it versatile for both passengers and cargo. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 7,700 pounds and carry a payload of around 1,700 pounds, impressive numbers for its class.
On the outside, the Gladiator Sport keeps things simple but iconic, with Jeeps signature seven-slot grille, removable doors, and a fold-down windshield, along with a removable soft top for open-air driving. Inside, it features a functional cabin with cloth seating, a 7-inch touchscreen with Uconnect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and basic comfort features like manual air conditioning and cruise control. Where the Sport really shines is capability. It includes solid axles, skid plates, tow hooks, and Jeeps Command-Trac 4x4 system, making it highly capable on trails, rocks, and rough terrain. While it lacks some of the luxury and advanced off-road tech found in higher trims like the Rubicon, it provides a strong foundation for customization.
Overall, the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport is a rugged, adventure-ready pickup that delivers authentic Jeep off-road performance with the added practicality of a truck perfect for those who want capability first and are willing to build it up their own way.

It's a jeep thing, what more can I say? fell in love when I first saw it, waited for 2021 to get the snazzberry color which is super. bought the overland model and like the comfort and how it handles. great for dry pavement as well as handling snow quite well. also the rain and wet. get many people who stop to admire. plan to keep it for the next 20 years. - 5.0
Love the Gladiator...could have a few more bells
by vtroger on Wednesday, January 15, 2020
I leased this truck (yes, I'm calling it a truck) and it is amazing. I splurged for the Rubicon and I'm glad I did. It's a great Jeep. Suspension, comfort, power, everything is amazing. As a top of the line Jeep, I would think it would have a few more bells and whistles. Rear heated seats, Heated and cooling seats, etc.
