TBT: A Classic Jeep Vehicle With and Interesting History

A few weeks ago, for Throwback Thursday, we featured a Challenge from @Jeep to name a vintage Jeep vehicle . We're proud to report that we got the answer right, and today we're going to try again. Check it out for yourself. As always, we'll have our answer for you, below.

This particular vehicle has all the signs of being a CJ-5, but there is a context clue in the tweet that makes us think they’re looking for a more specific answer. Back in the early 60s, when Kaiser was trying to redo the Jeep brand's image as a work vehicle, they introduced a trim upgrade to the CJ-5 that eventually became a standalone model in 1964. With this in mind, we're guessing this is a 1964 Jeep Tuxedo Park. What do you think? Check in with @Jeep on Twitter, tomorrow, for the official answer.

Of course, you can't easily buy a CJ-5 anymore, but you can still get its eventual successor, the Jeep Wrangler. If you're in the market for rugged 4x4 with a deep trail pedigree, come visit Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, and take one for a test drive. Our friendly and experienced staff would be happy to assist you.
